Life's an endless Masquerade Ball
Fake a smile, to please a group,
for pain only lies upon the troops,
show truth to only those you trust
but be wary for people may seem
not exactly what they may be.
A lie that makes the naive smile
unable to face the pain,
they're as weak as a child.
Nails on a chalkboard, a nerve-wracking screech,
would be better to hear, than your stupid speech.
Of which you fill with lies galore
only to benefit you more and more.
Next time you ask how I am,
My response? "Fine, swell, grand."
Too incompetent and ignorant to see past my wall,
for life's just an endless Masquerade Ball.
